The hottest stud in town; Nora Aunor's comeback

27 February 2010The hottest stud in town; Nora Aunor;s comeback

Big spender no more

SHE was such a big spender.

Money was not of paramount importance to her for she was earning oodles of money during her prime as the country’s hottest and acknowledged No. 1 superstar.

But times have changed and so has the attitude of most people. Indeed, Nora Aunor—still the country’s legendary superstar despite the presence of such formidable talents like Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta and Sarah Geronimo, among many others—has learned the impor-tance of saving money for rainy days.

To be perfectly honest, her daughter Lotlot de Leon was supposedly shocked—although she desperately tried not to show it—when she personally witnessed how her mom was doing some me-nial household chores. She volunteered to be of help but her superstar mom would hear nothing of it.

At any rate, her US stint appears to have made Nora a better person, and a very humble one at that.

According to some sources, she makes it a point to personally attend to Sajid Khan’s personal needs after he had a hip operation recently. A former leading man in some forgettable musical flicks she did under the defunct Tower Productions, Sajid has been a big help to Nora, and she deemed it only fitting to return the gesture.

Still on the legendary actress, her new manager Aster Amoyo has repeated-ly assured her loyal followers in the Philippines that she’s really sta-ging a comeback sometime in April.

A couple of weeks ago, she had a facelift in Japan and is now healing.

Well, it’s indeed more than about time that she comes back to the Philip-pines and make the most of what is left of her once-flourishing showbiz career.

It’s a fact that she’s still avidly missed by her loyal followers, the presence of so many younger talents notwithstanding.
