Night of the Champions NYC Concert Review
By Carlo
The 4 of them opened by singing their rendition of "We
Are The Champions". Then Christian went first and
sang "The Way You Look At Me", then "Hands To Heaven"
followed by a Broadway medley. He thanked everyone
for showing up and supporting them and expressed joy
for getting the opportunity to finally travel to the
States. He praised his idol, Josh Groban, as well.
He truly does sound like him at times its uncanny.
Rachelle was next and sang the "You And Me" duet with
Christan. She also sang "Dont Cry Out Loud"
excellently and capped off her performance by singing
"Through The Rain". She also thanked everyone for
coming and praised her idol Mariah Carey.
Mark was up next and in true Mark fashion was very
energetic and upbeat. He had a duet with Sarah and
they had good chemistry together. He praised his idol,
Gary V and even did his own rendition of "How Did You
Know" as well as other Gary classics.
Then it was Sarah's turn. She was truly the
showstopper of the night... and very magulo too.
Hehe. She praised her idols, Regine and Celine, and I
can see how she is a regine-in-the-making. She
already has some of Regine's stage presence and looks
comfortable being there. She joked pretty much all
night with the audience and that helped break the
tension and pressure of performing for her. She also
had more singing time than the others (understandably)
as she sang perfectly sung Regine and Celine medleys.
Such songs included Regine's Ikaw, Dadalhin, Kailangan
Koy Ikaw, On The Wings of Love and Celine's It's All
Coming Back To Me Now among others. She also sang her
hits Forever's Not Enough which she sang together with
the kids in the audience. She did an impromptu
performance of If Only after someone shouted for her
to sing it (the song wasn't supposed to be in her list
of songs to sing that night but being the good sport
she is, she did a brief performance of it anyway).
She capped it off by singing To Love You More. This
was the best performance of the night as she had
everyone standing in ovation.
The foursome, midway in the concert, also did their
sing and dance renditions of the Bulaklak song, Ocho
Ocho, the Hotdog song (?) among others.
Truly this concert was one for the ages. Im glad to
have been a part of it.

what a brilliant review of the show. I wish i was there to witness it all. i am so proud of the 4 of them for they are really living their dreams.
i am extra proud of Sarah for she has blossomed in her tender age. I think she is definitely staying in this business for a long long time because of her REAL TALENT, HER PERSONALITY, and of course BECAUSE SHE HAS KEPT HER FEET FIRMLY ON THE GROUND.
I hope that VIVA will come out of a vcd/dvd of this concert and that i hope that they will also get the chance to do a concert here in UK.

hello again and thanks for the welcome missi
i always watch Sarah and the rest of the group in abs-cbn now here in england(via the internet). i always look forward on seeing Sarah and the rest of the group perform in ASAP Mania. Bilib talaga ako sa Pinoy
My friends and I were saying na walang wala yung mga talent dito in compare to Sarah and the rest of the group. I salute Sarah with her great voice. kakatindig talaga ng balahibo.
I am keeping my fingers crossed na maka pagconcert sila dito.
Wish ko talaga na sana VIVA will have the heart to release a concert VCD/DVD. :music

Wow, what a wonderful review. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. I hope she sings Regine songs more often. I love almost all of Regine's songs. I wish Sarah would sing "Pangarap Ko Ay Ibigin Ka" and "Dadalhin" on ASAP. I'm very happy that they got a good reception. I'm just jealous of all of you who got to see Sarah live. I can't wait till she comes to my town. She is so great.

Thanks for the great review. I'm so proud of Sarah, she's just amazing! I've also noticed how relaxed and comfortable she is onstage. Offstage, she may be playful and makulit but onstage, she transforms into this mature, sophisticated singer. Grabe ang stage presence...

from what I saw at the concert and seeing her in person, for her age she is very poised and knows how to please and entertain an audience...hindi lumalaki ulo nya kahit sikat n sikat n sya
