I’m not really a TV-watching person, thus, yesterday’s presscon with pop princess Sarah Geronimo was my first interactive experience with the said artist.

She has a sunny personality and a sense of humor. She laughs a lot and answers every question sincerely. She’s more beautiful in person than on print (I often see her on print).

Again, Sarah clarified the news that she said that she wanted Gerald Anderson to be her leading man. This so-called statement that she made earned the irk of Kim and Gerald’s fans. “I understand them. If I were in their place, I would have felt the same when you try to separate a love team that’s already been long going,” said Sarah. “I have no intention of separating the Kim and Gerald love team or what they have in their personal life,” she said, smiling.

On her career choices, Sarah said that she’s more comfortable with being a singer compared to being a host and actress. “Singing had been my passion since I was a kid,” she said. When asked which one she feels like doing – a teleserye or a movie, she said she prefers the latter. “There’s more time while you’re doing a movie. When I did a teleserye before, my voice was affected by the late night shoots,” she added.

Between a recording and doing a concert, Sarah said that she prefers the latter. “Right at the moment of doing the concert .. the feeling is unexplainable. The feeling of hearing the public cheer for you is priceless,” she said.

When she was asked to choose between love and career, she joked, “Pwede both?” And with a serious tone, she said that “Career muna. I’m happy with the inspirations that I have. I’m already okay with the ‘kilig’ factor,” she said.

One member of the media noted that Mark Bautista, who was beside her at the presscon, had been working with her for a long time with her concerts. “Why not Mark?” he said. Sarah looked at Mark and said, “Yeah. Why not Mark?” This elicited some reactions from those present at the venue, Plazoleta Gay of Hotel del Rio. “Why not, Sarah?” replied Mark. He added, “Sarah and I are good friends. But our option is not to put a close at that because Sarah is not hard to love. She is sweet.” Well said.

Watch Sarah Geronimo: The Next One (Philippine Tour) concert tonight at the University of San Agustin. The show will start at 8 PM. The musical director is Louie Ocampo and the dancers are the G-Force Dancers. The guests are Mark Bautista, Mark Herras, Jimmy Marquez and Simon Wood.
