As Sarah G. hit the last high note of the Louie Ocampo Medley, the crowd were on their feet. What a wondrous rendetion and arrangement. The collaboration of a Maestro, a legend in the world of Philippine music and a singer at her tender age with an angelic voice, a voice that continue to ROCK every concert venue was a sound that will be forever be remembered.Louie Ocampo was able to bring the best out of SG and SG was able to give justice to such classic compositions.

The CLIMB.....a song that is not her own but once SG started to sing the song with her own interpretation, she made the song her own.SG is one of a kind. She could be doing an MJ or a Celine Dion classic but what people see and hear is Sarah G.She is truly MAGICAL!

TSALAP..TSALAP... SALAD SERVED @ Hyatt Regency

JUST MY THOUGHT PART2

I received a call from a perplexed cousin when she was encouraged to get tickets for another artist concert. She was told not to expect too much about the RB concert coz' the venue is a convention center and that the sound system was not too great and that the ticket sales might be affected. This was 3 weeks prior to the RB concert. This was my cousin's first experience in trying to get tickets from a local producer and the experience trully stressed her out. She was adamant and finally got the right person to get the tickets from. The funny thing about the whole situation was, she ended up receiving a free ticket of the concert she was initially offered.Take note, I was not sure if the first person she approached was connected with the RB production team.

I dunno' what happened but somehow my cousin started asking her friends, any Filipinos she met and somehow convinced my other cousin from Chicago to watch SG's concert and to my surprise, they came with me @ the M&G. They had never seen SG perform and I never gave them any information. The reason was, after the show i'd like to hear and see their reactions.

When we arrived at the concert venue, I think my cousin was nervous/concern about the crowd turnout and started to keep track of the number of people who will be watching the show.A single line became a double, triple line then snaked down the end.I heard her say...look out the crowd..Now I call her "the mayor" coz' it seemed that she was greeting and saying hi to everyone in the crowd.

On my part, I never doubted that we will be watching a great show. The concert hall was big and as expected from a convention hall, it was not an intimate set-up and it will need a great performer to pull it thru in this kind of venue. I had seen SG performed in different venues in the last 4 years and confident that this is peanuts for her.In no time, she had the crowd eating out at the palm of her hand.My cousin Marie was right, this was SG's concert and more. The energy and anticipation were palpable. The convention hall became irrelevant. What we witnessed was an intimate conversation between an artist and an audience thru music...

It had been said that taking pictures of a concert scene is one of the hardest and the set-up of the venue/stage was a challenge to an amateur like me.When Sg came out for the first numbers, I knew then it will be a great night , the audience were lively and when I looked at my cousin's faces I knew that i've got nothing to worry and will just concentrate in taking pictures. The artists were great,Jimmy was funny,Charlie Green is growing up fast and won't be surprise if someday will be a ladies man. He reminded me of future Enrique Iglesia.Erik S. was the champion as expected but the surprise of the night was John Pratt. He can't only sing but he could entertain the crowd with his moves...

SARAH G... what else could I say... the teenager I watched in 'THE OTHER SIDE", the young lady @ SGIM, the young woman in TNO now is a DIVA.She exudes sexiness with her simple moves, her laughter and giggles were contagious, her simple words reflected sincerity and innocence, her simple smile, head movement as a reaction to somebody who shouted "I love you, ang ganda mo" made the whole venue crack with laughter....this young woman surely is over flowing with CHARISMA...

Against all odds, the Toronto venue was a success not only in audience attendance but in audience-artists interactions as well. The people came out of the convention center contented, some wanting for more and heard some shouting till next time.

Thanks ining for this great review.....wika nga, "you hit the nail on the head"....everything

ooohs... aaahhhs were the sound that an angelic soothing voice generated as it floated in the air for another classic Filipino Medley.Suddenly... a complete silence that you could hear a needle dropped in the midst of thousands with multiple facial expressions from being in awe..to total exhilaration...to just being rooted on the spot....then BOOM...something heavy dropped...SG as expected tried to finish the medley of beautiful love songs when ERIC said"ay daga".

SarahG lost it, dropped on her knees trying not to laugh...the action was so spontaneous but what a catalyst...what a beautiful scene.. from facial expressions of different emotions to a giggly young lady was something unexplainable and the crowd just loved it...

MAYBE...MY FINAL THOUGHT.... FOR NOW

This is such an imperfect shot but what makes it perfect for me was the spirit of the artists.. the laughter...the camaraderie that were behind the blurry vision but can't be ignored.

As the end was inevitable....amateur/professional photographers rushed in front of the stage. All I could hear were the sound of people calling the name SARAH... the sound of cameras clicking trying to get the best shot anybody could possibly get... for me.. I did not hear the last music for all I see were the faces of the dancers...of SG..Erik.Charlie, Jimmy....Sir L and his band on their feet... up to the last note... the RB Team gave their all....it was a RECORD BREAKER EVENT indeed!!!

finally... the final thought..

This was goodbye but certainly not the last.In few hours the DIVA was sporting a ponytail and in blue jeans... not a trace of the total entertainer who won the hearts of thousands a night before....The face of innocence with minimal or sans makeup...somebody who tries to gel with the likes of us without trying hard, waiting at the airport lounge for the next airplane ride...off to the next venue where she was set to conquer once more...no ego trip....no arrogance but a humble young lady who loves to do what she is doing. No wonder, she continues to win the hearts of thousands... she is truly an ENIGMA...

As the crowd thins out, the laughter ,enthusiasm and energy of a group of young people wearing record breaker t-shirts were infectious and eye catching...Finally,screenames only once has a face.We all said HI to each other, maybe not enough time for most of us to bond but we certainly were brought together in one place by Sarah G and sarahgeronimo.com.People from all parts of Canada, NYC, New Jersey,Chicago, LA and maybe more. People who were strangers started to talk ,walk and laugh together as if we knew each other... no ego trip... no power trip...Popsters International... sg.com members... supporters we were all ONE...

As we went down the escalator, to our surprise of how congested the front area of the convention center was, people of all ages waiting for Sarah G.Not a word was said but we all got out of the venue happy and contented. As we said our goodbyes, went our separate ways, all I could say was geee .. what a night. To this day,I continue to wonder if she finished and how long Sarah g stayed to sign the DVD'S ,CD'S...with the long line, it seemed humanly impossible.

As I ponder and read the experiences of each one of us from the different venues, I just hope all of us would remember the good times and we are all here for support. We came from different generations.. time will come, some will have different priorities, some will be retiring, some will start a new family& some will be starting the adult life but one thing that can't be ignored was the fact that sarahgeronimo.com at one point in our lives had been part of us. We met people, strangers , we became acquaintances and some of us became close friends.Old members , new members, guests will come and go in this site...lets continue to make this site for the fans by the fans and for the founder, administrators, moderators hope you continue to stay with us. For all of us, lets just continue to enjoy the site, enjoy SarahG... JUST AS ONE...

For Sarah G. You had accomplished something in life for a short period of time and you are blessed but unfortunately with success comes high expectations. At your tender age, you're handling things with dignity and class. You are at the top now and no matter what happens in the years to come, nobody could take away from you that in this generation you are the only POPSTAR,SUPERSTAR..CONCERT QUEEN, BOX OFFICE QUEEN not only once but twice and maybe trice soon...

Was the Record Breaker Concert USA/CANADA Tour a success? Certainly it was.
It can't be denied that America is bleeding, the market is down, people lost their jobs, house foreclosed, businesses closed and who would imagine even big Hospitals were closing.Still, Sarah G is back..and had been yearly for the last few years with no lesser than 7 venues each time and the tickets that sold out first were the most expensive ones...and her tickets were not cheap... with this economy to pay for $150-200 was no easy fit...The fact remains that she is the only Female performer who could easily fill up a venue to 70-100% even without promotions.People kept on coming back, to watch once more a TOTAL PERFORMER.

To compare the ticket sales from last year is infair. There are a lot of factors that makes a show a success. Ticket sales is only one aspect. The RB Team delivered... the people who watched the shows from every venues were satisfied and wanting for more..bec. Sarah G continue to reinvent herself.

The best compliment that I heard was when my cousins were asked"how was the concert?was it comparable to international shows". The response was" ohh definitely and we were really surprised... it was great..." and for the next 3 weeks they were still talking about the show and even going to YouTube.

This is ining1 signing off.... until next time...for now lets all watch HATING KAPATID and give her the BOQ title once again....not bad for somebody who had only 2 films in her name....
