VANCOUVER – It’s all systems go for the biggest concert of the Philippines’ most sensational young diva, Sarah Geronimo, on June 13 at the Queen Elizabeth Theater.
REYFORT MEDIA GROUP publisher Rey Fortaleza said the concert, “Record Breaker: Live in Vancouver”, will also feature Erik Santos, John Prats, Jimmy Marquez, and Charlie Green.
The show will be produced by the R&B Production and organized by REYFORT MEDIA GROUP, Times Telecom and ABSCBN TFC in cooperation with Jolly-B Book Express, Pin-pin Restaurant, Okey Oriental Foods and Philippine Airlines (PAL), which will raffle two roundtrip tickets to Las Vegas. Other sponsors include Dr. Dan De Jesus, Isaac and Agatha Restaurant and Catering, I-REMIT and Big C Sari Sari Store.
Fortaleza said Geronimo will also grace the 112th Philippine Independence Day in Lansdowne Mall in Richmond on June 12
where “Filipino-Canadian fans will have an opportunity to celebrate the Philippine Independence Day with Sarah Geronimo at least for a brief moment.”

“With the growing population of approximately 10,000 Filipinos in Richmond, British Columbia, we believe that our cultural heritage should play a stronger role in building friendships with different multi-cultural groups in Canada,” said Filipino Friends in Richmond (FFIR) chair Norbert Ching. His fellow organizers are Lita Nuguid, Marilou Panlilio, Andy Naval, and Elena Agala.
The Independence Day celebration in Richmond will reportedly be a “wholesome family gathering.”
Nuguid said, “They have concluded a great deal of performances such as highlighting the prestigious Santacruzan Parade which has always been a significant feature of the event, Cultural and Modern Dance Group, a gallery of Philippine paintings by Dimasalang III Internatioal, a showcase of Philippine Fashion Show, games and raffles and lots of prizes and surprises to be given away.”
Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo, 21, is a Filipina singer, dancer, and actress. Born to a large, financially-struggling family in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines, Geronimo started her career at a young age and appeared in children’s variety shows such as Pen-pen de Sarapen, Ang TV and NEXT.
‘STAR FOR A NIGHT’
Geronimo gained fame when she won the Star for a Night singing competition. She established herself as a pop artist in the Philippines when she released her first album Popstar: A Dream Come True in 2003. The album was certified 7x Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry for selling over 210,000 units. Following her debut, she recorded five more platinum albums: Sweet Sixteen in 2004, Becoming in 2006, Taking Flight in 2007, Just Me in 2008, and Music and Me in 2009.
She also recorded a Christmas album, Your Christmas Girl, in 2009, giving her the distinction of having two platinum albums released at the same time. Geronimo has had a series of successful concerts, at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila and during several worldwide concert tours, often done in conjunction with a new album or movie appearance.
Geronimo has also enjoyed a successful acting career, beginning in television with the musical variety show, ASAP, and in starring roles. Her films, including A Very Special Love, and its sequel, You Changed My Life, which has been named the highest-grossing Filipino movie ever made, have collectively brought box office receipts of over Ph400 million.
