Sarah Geronimo denies that she will leave ABS-CBN after 'Idol'

There have been reports that Sarah Geronimo will no longer renew her contract with ABS-CBN when it expires this December. Rumor has it that her talent agency, Viva, wants her to transfer to another network so that she could further her showbiz career. But the Popstar was quick to refute such reports, saying that she is very happy with the way the Kapamilya network has taken care of her all these years. “Naku, bakit ko naman po iiwanan ang ABS-CBN? Ang laki-laki ho ng naitulong sa akin ng ABS-CBN. [And] may ginagawa po kaming show so bakit naman po ako lilipat?” she said during a recent press visit to the set of her upcoming musical-drama, Idol.

Even her mom, Divine Geronimo, was clearly surprised when the local press asked her about the issue. “Ay wala kaming alam d’yan. Diyos ko, huwag naman ganyan, bad ‘yan!” Nevertheless, Sarah stressed that she would have to ask her manager first if there’s truth to such speculations. “Wala po akong alam sa mga pinipirmahan ko. Hahaha! Hayaan ni’yo po, tatanungin ko si Boss Vic (Del Rosario) kung totoo talaga ‘yan,’” she added.

Sarah still remained unfazed when prodded about the possibility of being compared to Charice who will soon be seen in the American TV musical, Glee. As it was, some Filipino viewers claim that Idol merely copied the concept of the Hollywood show. “Ay! Ano ba, i-compare ba sa Glee? Siyempre ibang-iba naman po ang Idol. Magkapareho lang sa aspect na musical TV show siya, pero iba naman po ang storya. At Glee yun! Iba ang followers ng Glee, iba rin naman siguro ang followers ng Idol. O pwede ring pareho ‘di ba? Sana [ganon ang mangyari]. Basta huwag na lang po natin i-compare.”

sana wag siyang lumipat. anu pa ba gusto ng viva. eh ,major major sikat n si sarah. pag nilipat siya sa 5 naku baka malaos lng siya dun. please sarah wag kang pimayag. kaw parin naman ang may final decision eh. wag mong iwan ang 2.

Hopefully, hindi tlg mngyari na lumipat ng network si Sarah.. Iba pa rin mag-alaga ang ABS-CBN, Sarah has already been at GMA 7 pero hindi siya msyado npnsin dun khit pa may talent siya dhil hindi magaling mag-build up ng career ang GMA, kung sino lang ang present sikat, un lang... Sana sa VIVa, especially Boss Vic del Rosario (Sarah's manager), sna hindi lng puro talent fees ang isipin...mas una dpt ang kpakanan ni Sarah as their talent... I know that majority of Sarah's fans want her to stay at ABS-CBN, sabi nga ni Sarah, sobrang laki ng naitulong sa knya ng mother network niya..

Tama ka Sarah, tanungin mo nga ang manager mo, kasi sabi mo nga, 'di mo alam ung mga pinipirmahan mo eh...Although joke un, pero alam nmin, siyempre laki ng trust mo sa VIVA...

Btw, I will still support you Sarah...I'll just pray for your stay @ABS-CBN....The Best ka sa KAPAMILYA!!

Hope this will not come true...otherwise sobrang madidisappoint ako sa Viva..coz if that happens..pera-pera lang ba talaga ang labanan sa kanila..san yung loyalty di ba! and besides Sarah is well taken care of ABS naman. She is already a big star in ABS, aside from that yung ABS eh global na if ever na transfer sa ABC5 eh baka makalimutan si Sarah globally niyan..and that will suck..

Ay naku VIVA!....sana nga ay gossip lang ang mga bali-balitang ito! Nangyari kasi kina Mark at Rachelle eh, kaya nakakabahala ang mga tsismis na lipatan...Kaya Our Princess Sarah...huwag kang papayag...pwede pa, lumipat ka na lang ng magma-managed sa iyo...doon pa payag kami!!!!
