that's a cool suggestion tita ining1!
the logistics will need to be really thorough though. some orphanages provide transpo for their kids when going places (they have marked vans and nuns who go with them... gas money na lang po siguro kailangan). i would recommend getting those instead of yung mga magco-commute lang from the orphanage. if this pushes through tita, count me in.
==============================
Updates as of Nov. 24, 2010:
here's the scoop with the logistics:
- we will be sponsoring 30 kids from Hospicio De San Jose (based in San Marcelino, Ermita, Manila).
- the kids' ages range from 8-20 years old.
- the 30 kids will be accompanied by 4 chaperons and 1 coordinator (all nuns, whom we have been in touch with).
- we will provide them transportation allowance. (we're still sorting out with them kung mas ok magrent or magcommute)
- we will provide a simple dinner before the concert. (most likely, jollibee, shemps sarah-related pa rin, hehe!)
- we will also provide snack bags for during the concert. (juice/water/soda, bread or something they could munch on)
- as of this writing, we will be getting Lower Box tickets for them, pending info about ticket prices.
right now we assumed it will be at P2,000 per head. if we raise more than enough funds, we could look into upgrading them to Patron seats, again pending info on prices. we don't want to overspend, but of course we want to give them the best experience din.
so far, yan pa lang po ang updates.
suggestions are very much welcome guys!
