I am always the first one to celebrate whenever I see fans applaud Sarah G's performances with much gusto.

We love her performances because we are her fans. We love her in whatever she does. Period.

But we also need to look at our popstar princess from the perspective of other people -- those still uninitiated to her charms and star power.

Without question Sarah G is one talent-packed shining star! But most people when they see another rendition of a famous singer can only shrug off their shoulders and say "we already have a beyonce" or "rihanna sings it much better" or "the original is without comparison" or other such biases and prejudices. We cannot change that or them.

In this world, one has to prove one's worth before anyone believes you. Everyone loves a success...but success as defined in their own terms.

Right now, Sarah G is a huge success but only in the Philippine arena or among Filipino audiences.

We all dream for her to make it big in the Asian or in the World stage. Her success there in a way sort of validates that we are definitely right in loving a world-class talent such as hers. In some way, we dream of her success because it will also be our own success.

And doing another rendition of a famous song might help but it might also be counter-productive. Therefore it must be beefed up with rendition of original songs with a distinct sound that will set her apart from other singers. Fresh sound + creative and innovative management + Sarah's charisma, talent and passion = world success!

I still wait with bated breath for an all-original album by Ms Sarah G that showcases her wide range of musicality and plays on her strengths as a singer/performer. I have yet to see that. Right now her albums and music and videos are wanting in originality and innovation. They only become hits because of SG's sheer charisma, popularity and talent.

Whoever is taking care of her career must focus on developing this and let it not be known that they have wasted time, resources and this wonderful talent without giving their utmost effort and without mustering all their creative juices.

Surely, this young lady has shown that all efforts, feeble as it may seem, have not been wasted on her. Imagine what can greater creativity and more innovation produce when poured on this amazing talent?

I'm definitely betting all my resources and even my last peso on her :-)

I so agree with everyone's thoughts here.. SARAH G is really the BEST!!! She gives all of her on each performance. And she comes prepared... to think it's every week and had been really busy every day.... Very dedicated and focused.

I love this article. Which makes me think that we can do something as her supporters, to make sure Miss Sarah gets all the exposure she can get. Although I know exposure on International scenes may mean less Sarah in the Phils but I won't mind sharing Sarah to the world coz she really deserves to be known worldwide... I'm not from Phils but I still enjoy her and can watch/listen to her via her movies and concerts and cds and dvds..

One thing i notice when i look at her youtube videos... There could be lots of highly recommended comments and thousands of views but the LIKES are very low... Should we encourage all her fans to create you tube account and when they view (or comment), they might as well click on LIKE so we can impact more her uploaded videos... Who knows, those youtube researchers may notice Sarah more often... That's how a lot of Filipinos get noticed internationally anyway..

Just an idea :-)

Good luck to Sarah.. I really hope for the best for her... I'm sure God has Greater plans for her.
