Sarah Geronimo reveals the things she still needs to learn
Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo describes herself as a ‘modern-day Filipina.’ She’s in between the women we call ‘manang’ and the ladies often dubbed as ‘liberated.’ With her simple and natural disposition, Sarah Geronimo can definitely represent what a ‘modern-day Filipina’ should be.
But though she has already made a name in the Philippine entertainment industry, the Popstar Princess admits that she still has a lot to learn in life. For her, becoming a ‘modern-day Filipina’ entails being independent. “Kasama na rin po kasi dun yung pagiging independent mo sa mga bagay-bagay at isa po yun sa gusto kong magawa.”
With her much publicized heartbreak with Rayver Cruz, Sarah also wants to become wiser when it comes to love. “Ako po kasi, kilala ko ang sarili ko. Sobra akong malambot. Kailangan ko munang maging matalino pagdating sa matters of the heart.”
This 23-year old celebrity also admitted that it’s still her Mommy Divine who handles her finances. “Talagang ipinagkakatiwala ko muna po kay Mommy ang lahat. Pero soon, soon po, aayusin ko rin po talaga para maging hands-on din ako sa savings ko, sa sarili kong kinikita.”
From now on, the singing champion will also try to experiment when dressing up. “Gusto ko pong mas maging daring na pero hindi naman yung sobrang skin revealing po. Yung kaya ko lang.”
In Cosmopolitan’s December 2011 issue, Sarah shared that though she’ll be trying on some fashion styles, she’ll still stick to clothes that make her comfortable. “Ayokong magpadala. I’ll always be the girl who doesn’t wear lipstick when I don’t have to.”
This coming February 19, the Popstar is set to launch her newest TV show, Sarah G. Live! Since January, Sarah has been doing necessary preparations for the show. “I’ll do my best po talaga. Talagang gagawin po namin ang lahat para mabigyan ng magandang entertainment ang televiewers natin.”
