Angel Locsin, Kris Aquino & Sarah Geronimo stopped using Twitter. Reason?

Twitter (and Facebook) is the way of celebrities to communicate and interact to their fans/followers on the web. This social-media platform made the celebrities reachable by their fans.

But celebrities like Angel Locsin, Kris Aquino and Sarah Geronimo already quit tweeting. Why?

Best Actress Angel Locsin (@143redangel), who already has 1,866,342 Million followers, last tweet is dated March 21, 2012. Her tweet warned her followers to be careful on her poser (I43redangel). Nasabi ito ni Angel dahil napagkamalan siya ni @aomarget na nagsabi ng masamang salita tungkol kayPBB Ex-Housemate Biggel. Ngunit, hindi napansin ni @aomarget na ang poser ni Angel na may Twitter Account na @I43redangel ang nag-tweet nun.#careless@aomarget_istheCULPRIT.

Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo was the first who stopped using twitter. Her last tweet is dated October 2010. She quit using twitter during the controversial news about her, Rayver Cruz and Cristine Reyes. To date, Sarah has1,165,558 Million followers.

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, meanwhile, stopped tweeting last March 16, 2012, 5 days before Angel Locsin quits twitter. Her reason is her haters who continually bashing her. Kris has now 1,612,897 Million followers.



I think this three equally-talented ladies made a right decision. They leaved twitter dahil siguro sa tingin nila ay hindi na ito nagdudulot ng mabuti sa buhay nila dahil na rin sa kaliwa't kanan na paninira sa kanila.

- mali naman yung tungkol kay Sarah. Oct 2010 pa last twit niya nearly two months before that bruhaha with CR. Around december nangyari yung pagwawala ni CR sa twitter by that time d na nag t-twit si Sarah. Kaya nga it was funny back then when news about the incident would refer to it as twitter war. How can it be twitter war when only one person is twitting?! eh si Sarah quiet lang at that time. haha tnx for sharing!

Madami kasing irresponsible gumamit ng kahit anong Social Media. Imbes na dumami friends mo, mauubos dahil sa mga tsismis at di tamang pagsasalita o pagbibigay ng information. Mas tama nga sigurong wag masyado maki interact mga celebrities sa mga fans kasi mas lamang yung mga nambabastos para mapansin lang. In the end, kung talagang magaganda achievements mo eh mapag uusapan ka pa din naman like Sarah na nag te trend pa. Or pwede ding maging extra cautious gaya ng pag pa private, paggamit ng ibang user name or pag iingat sa pagsasalita at paglalagay ng mga pix or infos. Kasi yung account natin ay parang bahay natin, dapat maging maingat sa papapasukin, ipapakita at pagkakatiwalaan dito. Para we wont feel violated and robbed kapag may salbaheng na encounter tayo. I still think that the government should have an effective law that can reduce if not stop cyber bullying. It is just sad that its almost impossible to police internet users if there is no definite rules to adhere.
