Sarah, kumakabog ang dibdib kina Lea, Bamboo at apl.de.ap

ALLAN DIONES

"MY GOODNESS! I'm so bleeding right now! Ha! Ha!

"Ako po, surprised and hesitant at first.

"At power of persuasion, naniwala naman po ako. Ha! Ha! Ha! And this is a great show. Discovering great talents.

"Napakaraming magagaling dito sa bansa natin and I'm very honored to be part of this great show.

"Ako po ay talagang honored na isa po ako sa napili to be one of the mentors and I'm so excited. 'Yun lang po ang alam ko.

"I'm so excited. Ha! Ha! Ha! I'm very excited to find that Voice of the Philippines," masayang bulalas ni Sarah.

It's a chance to be part of someone's journey towards pursuing her or his dreams.

The Voice of the Philippines.

"This one, to be quite honest, I wanted to move heaven and earth to make it possible to do it. And it's kind of what happened because I will be honest, I mean, I have been previously asked by ABS na sumali o maging isang judge sa mga ibang naging singing contest din dito sa ABS.

"But if it's something na talagang gusto kong gawin, I would move mountains to make it happen. And in this case, the mountain was my schedule," natatawang sey ng tinaguriang 'The Voice of Broadway' na si Ms. Lea.

"It was really great that everything kinda fell into place for this to be possible. And the whole thing that I like about the particular format, I mean, #1 everybody who is coaching is also a performer that has throughout the years of our having been in this career, we were also coached by some of the most amazing performers, some ama*zing teachers.

"So, parang it's an opportunity for each of us to pay it forward, to bring what*ever knowledge that we may have and pass it on. Kasi, we can't keep naman everything to ourselves. And it's good to share.

So, we will share.

"We wanna pay it forward and share whatever knowledge we may have acquired throughout the years that we have been doing this.

"And I think cumulatively, we've got about a century of experience among the four of us and that's no exaggeration."

"I'd like to think that all of us are credible, you know. Ha! Ha! Ha! Aside from our body of work, our experience… I mean, Sarah started when she was 14 years old. So, she's been at this a lot. So, she's no neophyte.

"Just to put her doubts in herself away. She's been at this longer than any other people have. So, there should not be any doubt in her credibility specially with a lot of the younger ones that are coming in…"

Sabi ni Bamboo, "When they say Dream Team, if I had to pick, make a choice, let's put up the Dream Team. So, you know what I mean? Excellent! So, kudos to the producers (of The Voice of the Philippines)!

"Ako myself, I'm excited. I watched The Voice US, the first season, and I got the show. I've seen what it was all about. And sabi ko, 'If there was a show that I would have done, this is it. This is tailor-made for myself!'

"And gusto ko 'yung the kind of artist na ina-attract ng The Voice, eh. 'Yun ang gusto ko, eh. That's what I'm looking for. Sort of may konting kulay na iba.

"We need a little more color in the industry, in OPM. So, I hope we find it here. I'm looking for the game changer!"

Hirit ni Apl, "Just the opportunity to disco*ver upcoming talents, Fili*pino artists… and then, nalaman ko na 'yung mga ibang coaches are Sarah, Bamboo and Lea Salonga which I look up to also… now, I'm gonna be part of it. I said, 'Yes, let's do it!!!'"

"I figured that if you can make it through a coach that can be hard on you, then once you actually get out of the real world, you'll be strong enough to take whatever comes at you.

"So, I understand the wisdom that a lot of my mentors employed in coaching me. You can be a little kid and they'll still push you hard, which now as an adult, I appreciate.

"So, I guess the one thing I could countribute to kung sinuman ang magiging miyembro ng team ko, eh 'yung katotohanan.

"I mean, I'm not going to be insulting. I'm not going to purposely hurt somebody's feelings for effect or for television ratings or anything.

"But the least I can do for them, what I feel I owe my team will be honesty. Because also, it is a competition between 4 teams and obviously, each of us are gonna say, 'I want my team to win!' So, I think what I can offer is honesty.

"But I'm not gonna go crazy and hurt anybody's feelings," sabi pa ng world-class theater actress-singer.

"I'm already calling myself 'The ***** in the Red Chair', you know. But I don't know if *****iness will necessarily be the best approach either. I guess it really depends on what each team member needs.

"But if somebody is getting too big for their britches, nagiging mayabang, arogante na wala naman sa lugar, then they're gonna get a talking to and they're not gonna like it. They're gonna get it unfiltered and real and that's what I can offer."

Gagamitin niya rin 'yung mga natutunan niya from his life experiences, 'yung mga pinagdaanan niya sa music industry at kung gaano kahirap to make it.

Ha! Ha! Ha!" tawa ni Sarah.

Singit ni Ms. Lea, "She might just out***** me!"

'Yung nalaman ko sa 10 years of being in the business."

Hirit ni Bamboo, "I'll pay to see that!"

Sundot ni Lea, "I'll pay to see that too!"

Natatawang hirit ulit ni Bamboo, "I've got the best seats in the house!"

Sa Hunyo ang simula ng The Voice of the Phi*lippines na ihu-host ni Toni Gonzaga.
