Ang Prince of Pop na si Erik Santos ay magpi-perform kasama sina Pops Fernandez at Jimmy Bondoc sa "Lovapalooza, the longest kissing contest sa remote coverage nito sa Ayala FGU Business Park, Cebu sa February 11.

Samantalang sa Baywalk, Manila ay sina Drew Arellano at Iya Villania naman ang mga host ng event na ito. Sa February 18 naman, siguradong kikiligin ang mga kadalagahan sa Pampanga dahil haharanahin sila ni Erik sa kanyang special show sa Casino Angeles. Guest niya rito si Frenchie Dy. At sa Feb. 24 naman ay magpupunta siya sa Baguio para sa kanyang special show.

Valentine kissfest at Baywalk tonight

Manila Mayor Lito Atienza and his wife Beng, and the City of Manila will lead tens of thousands of couples, once again, in kissing simultaneously for at least 10 seconds at the Rajah Sulayman Park and Roxas Boulevard Baywalk in Malate.

Lovapalooza 2006, carrying the theme "Breathe Life to your Grand Expressions of Love," will gather romantics tonight from 7 p.m. to 12:00 midnight simultaneous with those in Angeles, Cebu and Davao cities.

Manila still holds the Guinness record for having 5,327 couples kissing at the same time which was set on Valentine's Day of 2004.

"The world record on kissing that Manila currently holds is a fitting distinction of us as a loving people, and let this character always emanate from us even in the midst of difficulties that the country is facing today," Atienza said as he invited couples to join this year's grand Valentine celebration.

In partnership with Unilever Philippines, the city government has also prepared a fun-filled evening of song and dance numbers from the countrys' leading bands and top performers like Bamboo, Barbie Almabis, Paolo Santos, Nina, Nyoy Volante, Brownman Revival, South Border, 6 Cycle Mind, Sponge Cola and the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

Leading celebrities will also grace the celebration like Sam Milby, Borgy Manotoc, and Ornussa Cadness with Iya Villania and Drew Arellano hosting the event.

Motorists are advised that two lanes northbound of Roxas Boulevard will be closed to traffic starting 12 noon today and both the northbound and southbound lanes will be closed from 5 p.m. onwards.

If you can get the philippine star newspaper today, there's a section reserved for the lovapalooza event tonight (with individual pics of the champs)... its a 4 page add (likely) of the specific happenings...

ingat kayo, pero mukhang ok naman, heard it in the news that manila will be well prepared, they are expecting a lot of people...

wow, sana i finally found someone kantahin nila sa duet... pag ganun di mapipigilang maghalikan lahat ng mga couples!...and one song at the end, mukhang fav ng close up din si sarah (just like when she sang the finale during their close up to fame show)

by the way, anyone knows if this will be shown on tv (abs perhaps? on sunday?)...
