MOVE OVER, Olsen twins. At least, Pinay teens need not look far to find a face they could relate to. At 15 and already being touted as the next pop superstar, Sarah Geronimo paints a picture of saccharine sweetness. She exudes the Pinay stereotype of simplicity-obedient daughter, hard-working-young girl-done-well and professional singing contest participant.
"Sobra kaming walang pera kaya kailangang sumali sa mga contest," she explains the reason behind her joining. At five years old, she was one of the co-hosts of the now defunct "Pen Pen de Sarapen". Almost prophetically, she was one of the kids in "Sarah, Ang Munting Prinsesa," and at thirteen, was one of the mainstays for "Ang TV 2."
After that, a whole slew of auditions followed -- from recording companies to various singing competitions. Until she won the grand prize for "Star for a Night."
Now, she has a show named after her ("Sarah the Teen Princess"), a hit song ("Forever's Not Enough,") nominated for Best Song in MTV Pilipinas, with her also vying for Best Female award) and is starring in a Jollibee commercial!
While walking along the frenetic streets of Quezon City in a pink Rajo Laurel ballgown for this exclusive Super! shoot, mesmerized bystanders would flock and point at her, exclaiming, "Uuuy, ang prinsesa!"
Super! followed her around in her search for her destiny-from a carinderia in Timog to a busy bus station along Edsa, she was focused and calm amidst the urban frenzy that welcomed her at every stop.
The search ended at the studios, under the soft glow of kleig lights, where she sits down, closes her eyes, and rests.
The teen princess is home.

Siguro dapat i-enjoy mo rin 'yung kung anong meron ka ngayon, like 'yung dami ng schedule kahit nakakapagod. Saka siyempre dapat di mo rin pinag-iiisip 'yung fame para walang reason na maging mayabang ka.

Nung may show ako, kaya lang may sakit ako-wala na akong boses at talagang pagod, sa dami na rin siguro ng ginagawa. Tapos hindi daw pwede na hindi matuloy kasi prepared na lahat. It was a mini concert with Mark Bautista; malapit nang mag-Christmas noon. Tapos nung araw na 'yun ako mismo nagkasakit kaya pag-akyat ko ng stage, ginaw na ginaw ako at nasusuka na naiiyak ako. Wala na talagang lumalabas na boses ... kakahiya.
