Kean Cipriano hopes to act opposite Sarah Geronimo someday

After Praybeyt Benjamin, Kean Cipriano has been tapped by Star Cinema to be part of another movie tentatively titled as The Reunion together with Xian Lim, Enchong Dee, and Enrique Gil. He’s excited to start shooting this project because the story will not only showcase a barkada’s journey, but it is also a tribute to OPM music. “Wala naman sigurong pressure kasi wala naman kailangang patunayan, kumbaga, rock and roll lang. I will see to it na maganda yung ibibigay namin dahil collaboration talaga ito among us,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph.

Although he doesn’t have an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN, Kean revealed that he’s slated to do other projects for the network. “Wala pa namang ganon na nangyayari. Ako, kung ano man ang nangyari, sakay ako sa alon at kasama ko yung management namin (Soupstar Entertainment). May mga projects na ako dito sa Channel 2, pero ‘di pa lang naaayos yung schedule, pero sana matuloy. If God permits, I’d be happy to be part of a teleserye.”

Among the Kapamilya actresses, Kean shared that he would like to be paired with the Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo. The two have previously collaborated for a song in Sarah’s album One Heart. “My choice? Ako matagal ko ng gusto makatrabaho si Sarah. Yeah, nagkaroon kami ng collaboration sa isang kanta. And kung mabigyan ako ng isa pang chance na gumawa ng project with her, I’ll be glad.”

A front man of the OPM band Callalily, Kean stressed that he will never give up his music despite his pursuit of a showbiz career. “Kung saan man ako dalhin [go lang ako], pero one thing’s for sure, I’m always going to be a musician, I’ll always be part of Callalily. Never ever [ako aalis dun]. Actually, maglalabas kami ng bagong album this year. Tapos may US tour ang Callalily at 6CycleMind sa April.”

Asked if he still has time for a love life, Kean claimed that he’s not dating at the moment. “It depends kung may dumating, bakit hindi kung nandiyan. Ngayon wala eh, steady lang ako ngayon.”
