Sarah Geronimo is not yet ready to be in a relationship.

This does not stop the public, however, from linking her to several men.

On top of the list is Gerald Anderson, who will become the male lead in her next movie project.

At the launch of her new endorsement Jolly Cripsy Fries yesterday, August 25, she told the press: "Hoping kami na maging mas maganda yung proyekto namin this time since it's a new story, new characters na."

Another thing to look forward to is their onscreen chemistry, given that they started talking to each other.

Laughing, Sarah quipped, "Mga nakaka-tatlong [sentences] na."

Then, referring to Gerald, "Sabi niya yun? [Hindi kami nag-uusap?]"

We nodded.

The singer-actress resumed," Oo, totoo yun."

She related their brief exchange at the film's story conference, where female lead managed to say, "Kumusta ka?"

But no lengthy conversation took place because, "parang medyo pagod-pagod din, alam mo yun...siyempre, nandudun pa rin yung hiya na parang magtanong pa ng mga iba pang bagay, so okay naman kami sa ganun."

Slowly, both stars—especially, Gerald—have been making extra efforts to remove the barriers to a possibly-good friendship. A rumor claimed that the Star Magic talent has started showering the VIVA artist with gifts—the recent of which is an expensive watch.

Sarah quickly threw in, "Oo nga, e, may kotse daw 'tapos may Hermes pa na bag. Hindi, walang totoo sa kahit ano na yun, sa tatlo na 'yon."

However, "Niregaluhan niya ako ng ano yung dog carrier na Louis Vuitton. Yun."

TV5's Arniel Serrato asked, "Kinilig ka?"

Smiling, Sarah replied, "Tama lang. Tama lang naman."

She went on saying that her friendship doesn't necessarily require any gift.

Moving on, "Siyempre ano, natuwa naman ako na nakaalala siya. Hindi naman niya kelangang magbigay ng regalo. I mean, simpleng pagbati lang will do na, enough na 'yon. Pero, salamat, salamat."

How does she find her leading man?

Sarah's quite-straightforward reply: "Ay, ako, naguwaguwapuhan ako sa kanya kay Gerald, oo. Ayun."

But it's hard to tell whether their reel romance will turn real, "Ay iyan naman ay hindi naman natin madidikta yun. Di ba sabi nga niya na huwag nating ipilit. Siyempre, if it's going to happen, it will happen. So, huwag na lang nating [pilitin]."

KEAN CIPRIANO. TV Patrol's Mario Dumaual brought up the name of the Callalily vocalist, which instantly elicited a "wala po yun" remark from Sarah.

The record-breaking concert performer related, "Kasi first time namin na nag-perform on one stage sa mall shows namin for One Heart, yung album promo tour ko.

"So nagulat lang ako na ang galling niya palang magpakilig ng audience. Ang galing niyang maglaro, so ayun, yun lang yun po."

She mentioned the word "wow" twice, in a casual way, when the reporters told her about the guy's admiration.

"Lagi namang may ganoon, e," she retorted. "Wag na, okay na yun. Basta happy ako na nakapag-collaborate ako with Kean.

"Siyempre, thank you na lang. Oo salamat na lang at may ganoong papuri. Natutuwa naman na may mga gano'ng taong nakaka-appreciate sa 'yo, sa talent mo."

When asked to comment about the singer-actor, "I think," she began, laughing for a few seconds before saying, "Sa tingin ko naman, okay siya. He's a good person at mukhang okay naman siya."

MIGUEL VILLAFUERTE. Not much update about the son of Camarines Sur Governor LRay Villafuerte whose name was first linked to Sarah on the premiere night of Catch Me, I'm In Love.

It will be recalled that Miguel then sent the movie star a huge bouquet of flowers.

But five months later, "Hindi pa po kami nagkita. Hindi pa po napadaan. Hindi pa kami nag-meet [in] person."

Laughing, she remarked, "E, kayo naman kasi, baka naman pinangunahan niyo lang yung tao. Kayo lang nagsabi na manliligaw."

Or maybe, "Hindi lang siguro panahon pa," the ASAP Rocks mainstay said.

NOT YET READY FOR LOVE. She admitted to having a "Kapamilya" crush, but requested to just withhold his name: "Ay, sa 'kin na lang yung mga hinahangaan kong yun. Meron naman. Kahit papaano. Dati pa."

Here's the detail she volunteered, "Crush ko yung si ano, si Ian Somerhalder. Yung nasa Vampire Diaries, ayun. Akala mo, nandiyan lang 'no."

From crush, the topic shifted to suitors.

A number of men have openly (and secretly) admired the daughter of Delfin and Divine Geronimo, but only a few had the guts to court Sarah.

This, she has learned to address with humor: "Are they open? Are they willing? Open the gate. Siyempre gate muna, hindi yung papanhik diretso."

And her "untouchable" status has been attributed to her mother.

"Naiintindihan ko naman si mommy. [Sa] lahat ng nangyari, parang nakita mo talaga yung point ng isang magulang, e, na hindi talaga pinipilit ang isang bagay na hindi para sa 'yo, so, ayun. Malaking lesson yun para sa 'kin yung nangyari in the past," she explained.

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE FALLING IN LOVE. Taking her experience and the advice of her parents into consideration, Sarah mentioned three things that should happen before any guy could come near her.

First, she has to be ready.

"Let's be practical. Pag talagang na-in love ka, madi-distract ka, e, talagang magpo-focus ka dun sa puso, puro pagmamahal. Parang gano'n kasi, siguro dahil hindi pa naman ako sanay sa relationbships. Pero, ganun ang nakikita ko sa ngayon. Di ko pa kayang mag-handle ng isang relationship."

Second, she talked about "time."

Given her showbiz commitments, "hindi naman kasi ako yung tipong nakakalabas lagi."

And she has to know how to balance her career, studies, and relationship, because, "pag ako na-in love, parang yun lang at yung lang din, e...siya lang, parang ganun."

Third, more than the gifts, Sarah will be impressed with a guy who can face her strict parents.

"Mabibilib talaga ako kapag ka niligawan muna, kung sinuman yung nanliligaw na yun, ang parents ko. I think, yun lang hinihintay ng mga magulang ko na makita nila na meron talagang brave na haharap sa kanila, na sasabihin kung ano yung intensiyon nila para sa 'kin, di ba."

Most people keep on saying that she's already of age to fall in love, but Sarah finds no reason to hurry.

"Hindi sa hindi pa naka-move on, "she clarified, then underlined "career ko saka pag-aaral."

Her zero love life has been the perennial topic during her interviews, but she's doesn't seem to be bothered at all.

"Happy naman po yung puso ko. Saka masaya naman ako na meron akong mga yung parang hinahangaan, nandiyan lang," she stated.
