MANILA, Philippines - Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo on Thursday tried to lift the morale of international singing sensation Charice, whose role in Glee was allegedly axed because the show's producers did not want to upset the lead star Lea Michele.
"No doubt naman na talagang ibang klase itong si Charice. Ibang klaseng kumanta. Talagang perfect humit ng high note at iba ang confidence niya. Hindi naman siguro siya threat. Siguro may magandang rason. May valid reason kung bakit ganoon," Geronimo told abs-cbnNEWS.com when asked to comment on the issue and if she also sees Charice as a threat to other international artists like Michele.
Geronimo met Charice when she hosted ABS-CBN's defunct talent show "Little Big Star" in 2005. In the show, Charice did not win and placed only third.
"I'm not in the position to comment on that 'di pa natin alam, at di natin alam ang totoo," she explained.
Charice is also set to collaborate with Geronimo.
"Yung collaboration sa ngayon di ko pa nakakausap si Charice about it, pero sana matuloy pa din siya," Geronimo said.
