The SG forum is intended to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for all the fans of Sarah around the world. In order to maintain order and a sense of community, all members should read and follow these conditions. By registering in the forum, members are affirming their willingness to comply with these terms. These rules and guidelines have been created to provide you with information about what you can expect here, what is expected
of you, and to answer some questions you may have in your stay of the SG Online forum.

RULES OF CONDUCT
1.) Your usernames must not start with symbols or numbers.
Please don’t create a username with full of symbols, such as &é”#’{([-|è`\ç^à@)]°=+},?;.:/!§ù%îï%$¤£*µ. If you already did, please contact one of admins to get it change.
The only allowed symbol is the “underscore” ( _ ).

2.) No fake emails.
From time to time, the SG admins send emails to all the members in SG Forum about certain events or some important notices. In order for those emails to reach you, we need to have your valid email address. Example:
iam_joe @ yahoo.com or elissimo567@hotmail.com

3.) Posting Signature:
a.) Signature graphics are permitted, but must follow certain guidelines: no signature graphics containing inappropriate images such as sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically. [see no. 11]
Additional restrictions are as follows:
  • No more than one signature image may be used.
  • Maximum height: 150 pixels
  • Maximum width: 500 pixels

b.) Signature text is permitted as long as it doesn’t contain excessively obscene, sexual, or vulgar words, phrases.
Additional restrictions are:
  • No more than 5 lines.
  • Maximum Font Size : 12 pt

c.) If image and text combine:
  • Text: no more than 2 lines.
  • Image: Maximum height/ 100 pixels Maximum width/ 500 pixels

4.) Be respectful of others at all times.
The goal of these forums is to unite Sarah Geronimo fans around the world, a place for the REAL fans to discuss her career and life in a fun & non-hostile environment. We are not here to be hateful towards each other or other celebrities. Disagreeing with someone is one thing, but if you come here simply trying to pick fights (trolling), you will be warned, and if it continues you will be banned. If attacks get too personal — or cross the line legally — your post will be edited or deleted and you may be banned. All unsuiting or insulting posts will be deleted.

5.) Ranting is prohibited
A rant is a post which is long-winded, redundant and filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and bonds between Sarah’s fans, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

6.) Personal attacks are prohibited.
Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated

7.) Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude.

8.) No posting of personal information
Please respect the privacy of others. Do not give out information such as phone numbers and addresses. If you would like to give out your private information to others, use the private message or email.

9.) Private communication between the Administrator, Moderators of the forum and the forum members is not to be made public on these forums or by any other venue.
You are not permitted to publicize any private conversation (including private messages) received from any of the aforementioned.

10.) Warnings and bans are not to be discussed on the forum.
Such matters shall remain private between the Admins/Mods and the member. Questions or comments concerning warnings and bans will be conveyed through e-mail or private messaging. Likewise, discussions regarding moderator actions are not permitted on the forum. If you have questions regarding a post or thread, please contact [insert admin email].

11.) Immediate banning from the forum can result from any of the following:
The posting of pornography; discriminatory remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; excessive obscene or vulgar language; posts which discuss or illustrate illegal activity; providing links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned.

12.) Spamming, bumping and pyramid quoting are prohibited.
Spam is considered to be repetitive posting of the same topic or text or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users. Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited (posting only smilies or emoticons is included). Petitions or "/signed" posts are a version of bumping and likewise are not permitted. Pyramid quoting is a response to a forum thread which contains the quotes of four or more previous posters, sometimes with additional spaces added unnecessarily. Posts of this nature are not conducive to community spirit and are unwelcome.

13.) Stick to the subject.
Stick to the subject. Posts that go off topic will be moved or deleted.

14.) No sticky caps.
Please avoid typing like this “h3LLo Drr, My nAm3 Is Jo3 fR0m d PlAn3t mArS!” . Some may find it cute, but to most people it’s very annoying to read.

15.) Redundant threads will be deleted.
As a courtesy to others before beginning a new thread, please look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established. If so, place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forum needlessly and many good ideas may be lost. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.

16.) Impersonating another forum user, admins, moderators, or Sarah is prohibited.
You are expressly forbidden from impersonating anyone else, including those named above. This may be grounds for permanent loss of your account.

17.) You may not post advertisements.

18.) Avoid using profanity.
Using partial masking (such as asterisks or punctuation marks) to bypass the profanity filter is prohibited and will result in the same action as if the actual word had been typed.

19.) Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are insulting and rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

20.) Disputes which cannot be resolved between forum users and moderators may be arbitrated by the forum administrators.

(or did i just miss it? hehe!) 2. on #12, bumping up threads by posting smileys/emoticons... would posting just pics qualify? 3. on siggies, should the mods be actively hunting down users who are not abiding by the rules? i suggest we keep a list of users we've PMed regarding siggies para hindi sila makatanggap ng multiple PMs from diff staff members, at para na rin pang-track kung sino ang kailangang i-follow up. open for discussion... thanks![/img]

    Good list. For the most part, looks good to me.

    I am guessing we will be retroactive on enforcing these rules? ex. usernames: many users do not abide by the rules above. PM them to have it changed or are we setting a date cutoff a.k.a. after this date, all these rules will take effect?

    The listing of the member who have been notified for infractions is a good idea. A sticky thread will probably be sufficient for that purpose.

    Same here Jede.

    As to the new rules and guidelines i think its best if we also wait for the other admins comment like Dan, Chacri and Lovejoy kasi baka meron pa silang idagdag or i modify.

    Sounds ok with me, Popsie! Good points also, ate SGP.

    For #3-Posting Signature though, kDan just posted the following set of rules on the forum:
    1. Maximum of 4 lines of text.
    2. Maximum of 2 banners/images
    3. Images and Texts should not be offensive in any way.
    4. Maximum height for an image is 200 pixels and the Maximum width is 600 pixels

    sa totoo lang po, ako po, di po gaano nakakavisit sa forum po na yun.. so sarah-centered.. hehehe..

    yung text background ginawang itim at mababasa mo lang yung message pag hinighlight mo yung text - - visually nakaka-IRITA ang mga ganyang post - I don't even read them anymore. I SUGGEST WE DISALLOW these DELIBERATE posting format, i have come across MODERATORS that post in the same manner - PLEASE REFRAIN from doing so.

    sa siggies naman, actually di ko pa sure kasi hindi nag comments dun si Kuya Dan, hinihintay ko pa rin reply nya about dun sa siggies kasi i know na gumawa na sya ng rules about dun...

    anyways, apparently, hindi pa rin nila na-gets. laugh.gif alt=':lol:' ] napasearch ako ng usernames, meron pa rin nagi-start sa number... and there are a few all-number ones. strict reinforcement na nga lang siguro.

    # 17..Advertisement?what kind?kasi pwede din icategorize ang pagpromote ng mga concert ng ibang artist through poster sa siggy ng mga members as advertisement..or link ng mga kung ano-anong site nila..


    Regarding # 18, ang pinaka recent na 'ipinagbawal' are ["p<o>t"]etc...madami pa rin gumagamit nito maybe because walang announcement why all of a sudden hindi na sya pwedeng gamitin at malinaw na explanation why kailangan ipagbawal..hindi naman sya katulad ng mga as^h^o^le words...siguro kung magiging malinaw magiging madali para sa ibang i-let go yang mga tawag nila kay Sarah.



    sa #20, kung nagkataon ngang may naka-alitan ang isang member sa mods, ADMIN lang ba talaga ang pwedeng lapitan or pwedeng ipasa ng ADMIN sa iba pang MOD kung busy sya..at hindi ba allowed na malaman nung nakaalitang MOD na may kinontak nang ADMIN yung MEMBER...just a thought..




    regarding sa spoiler, i think ginagamit lang mga mods to the full extent ang mga features ng forum..somehow nakakatuwa naman at may sense of surprise yung ganun post..

    Dun nga pala sa #17. Hindi ko rin sure kung anong advertisement, hahaha!! Kaya nga di ako naglagay ng description. Kasi sa totoo lang, kung ako lang, dahil sa Forum ito ni Sarah, ayaw kong nakaka ka kita ng ibang name ng Artists na wala naman kina ugnayan kay Sarah except dun lang sa forum na RANDOM ARTISTS and hindi na lalabas dun.

    Anyway, hindi ko pa sure kung anong klaseng ads, pero of course andun na yun ads na nag gagain ng money! biggrin.gif alt=':D' ] Pag uusapan pa namin ito ng mga admins. Right now wala pa akong naririnig sa mga admins.

    #18. BAD WORDS of course alam na natin yan. Bago ako bumalik dito, hindi ko alam ang behind story about sa mga pinag babawal na nick names ni Sarah. Kung ang mga fans ni Sarah eh comportable sa pagtawag sa kanya ng ganung names dahil feeling close sila sa kanya, why not diba? In my opinion, hindi natin pwedeng ipagbawal sa kanila kung ano yung nakasanayan nila kay Sarah. Basta ba they're not making fun of her. Like using these names to make fun of her or kung ano ano pa.

    Admins and Mods, gusto ko ring marinig sa panig nyo, kung maari, bakit (suddenly) pinag babawal ang pag tawag kay Sarah ng mga nakagawiang pag tawag sa kanya ng mga fans nya? We are a team and I think, bago tayo mag gawa ng act para sa forum (like pag bawal something or kausapin isang member dahil may nagawang di kanais nais sa other members or mods or sa inyo), ipa alam kaya muna natin sa staff, you know para malaman opinion nila. don't work alone, like i said we are a team (sinong hindi nag a agree?)

    #19. Kung may conflicts between members and mods, wag ipag kalat sa forum, may sariling forums ang staff para i discuss ang mga problems at kung ano ano pang sitwasyong nangyayari sa labas.
    I think, the best siguro pag ganun na may naka alitang ang isang mod sa isa sa mga members dito sa forum, mag ask sya ng help sa isa or 2 pang mods, pag hindi na resolve and sitwasyon then go to one of the ADMINS, if yung nilapitan nyong admin eh hindi kumilos dahil busy or may other reason, lapit kayo sa iba pang admins(2). then let admin(2) know kung anong case nyo and kung sino pang admins nilapitan nyo. I'm sure sa dami na ngayon ng admins, hindi naman siguro silang lahat eh invalid, hehehe. biggrin.gif alt=':D' ] pag walng nangyari ... hmmm ... sumigaw kayo ng DARNA!!!     I'm sorry Popsie...i guess i have overlooked the rules on the siggy posting....masyado naman yatang sobrang liit yung binigay mo na allowance and also for the number of lines sa text...I think yung unang ginawa din DAN last may 16 is much better...this way we are free to create a nice siggy to promote Sarah's movie and any other events....hehehehehe dun sa ginawa mo...parang...tinitipid naman yata natin masyado si Sarah na i promote ang mga specials events niya....

    I strongly suggest that for the siggy rules...we follow the one made by DAN ...thank you.

    kasi ate sa forum pag malalaki ang siggy, yun na lang ang nakikita, tapos most pa ng mga members pag ka laki lakihang siggy pa naman gamit, an tatagal mag load...

    Madami namang way para i promote mga agenda ni sarah ate... may forum tayo for that, may website para sa banners..

    kailangan nating ayusin ang forum ng hindi na mang gigantic graphics and big colorful textes ang nakikita pag nag babasa ng mga post and topics... and I think yung binigay ko eh tama lang po..

    how about, as a compromise na lang po, let's retain all the rules posted by popsie on the forum, but for the siggies, let's use kdan's instead? with what he made naman, at least meron na ding restrictions on the size, number, texts, etc....

    and then, once everything is settled, let's have the thread pinned so that this will be viewed across all subforums. replace already what aeolus previously posted (link to that thread here)

    I'm sorry Popsie but i think what Dan had earlier posted was for me OK na and fair lang. So i think yun na lang siguro ang mas susundin natin. Siggy for me is the best way of promoting the movie or any upcoming event for Sarah dahil lagi mo siya makikita. I would say na maiintindihan mo ako if you have been frequently visiting the site. Yung iba mong ginawang rules ok naman but lets retain what DAN had earlier posted. Sa mga nakikita kong mga siggy's ngayon wala akong makikita na masama and if I may have overlooked some of it madali lang i PM yun. In fact some of them i have already sent them a PM yung sobrang laki na talaga.

    a simple image, i think para sa akin eh enough na yun...
    pero if you insist, sige ONE siggy of 600 x 200 with 2 lines of text, font size normal (size 2), . Hanggang doon na lang...

    You haven’t been around for a long while so I hope you can also try to interact on the site muna and see what really matters to the posters who have been frequently visiting and overseeing the site.

    I still insist that what DAN have earlier posted is the one that should be followed except that instead of 2 banners/ image gawing 1 nalang.

    Ate, with all the due respect kay Kuya dan and sa inyo po, disagreeing doesn't mean disrespecting. What I said earlier, hindi ako ok sa ginawa nyang siggy rules hindi ibig sabihin na hindi ok yung ginawa nyang siggy rules.

    yung bagong rules and guidelines bago ito na ipost dito sa forum binasa na ng mga admins. and they were ok about it.

    i asked them if they have changes na gustong gawin, and they said ok lang naman daw. Pero nabanggit sa akin ni kuya dan na me siggy rules nga syang ginawa, pero hindi naman nya pinabago sa akin yun siggy rules na nakasulat sa new rules.

    hindi man ako gaano na kaka intereact dito sa forum but i do observe, like i said nga kababalik ko lang and mag o observe muna ako...

    dun sa rules hindi ko yun basta basta na lang post na hindi pina pa alam sa mga admins.. napag usapan po namin yun.

    Ate, nung pinost ko yung rules I want you to know na pinag kasunduan yung ng mga admins.
    Now, kung me problems dun sa isa sa mga rules Im going to talk ulit sa mga admins and we'll figure out something else ok?

    I suggest that you consult with DAn again with regards to the siggy rules since you also mentioned that he already told you that he had already posted a new guidelines prior to what you had posted.
