With a national TV rating of 18.6%, "Sarah G Live" figured in the top five most watched program in the country last February 10, according to data from multinational market research group Kantar Media.
The Sunday night program, which debuted on February 26, 2012, ended with the singer-actress taking on hits from Madonna ("Music") and Rihanna ("Don't Stop The Music"). Geronimo also performed "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson as her last "statement song," before emotionally bidding farewell to viewers of the show with her own hit single "Forever's Not Enough."
After the successful run of "Sarah G Live," the 24-year-old performer is set to star in her own drama anthology and appear as a coach in the Philippine version of the popular reality singing contest "The Voice."
She is also finishing work on the last installment in her series of films co-starring John Lloyd Cruz, "It Takes A Man and a Woman," which is set to be released in March.
Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes, more than AGB Nielsen’s 1,980 homes that are only based in urban areas. Kantar Media’s panel represents 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while AGB Nielsen reportedly represents only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.
