MANILA, Philippines -- Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo has no plans for a big birthday celebration as she is currently busy with her upcoming concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
And after her concert, she will be working with her upcoming film with John Lloyd Cruz.
Geronimo is turning 24 on July 25.
"Wala pong plano na mag-out of the country kasi after ng concert magre-resume na po kami ng John Lloyd film yung part 3," Geronimo said in an interview during rehearsals for her concert "Sarah Geronimo 24/SG" on July 7 and July 21 at the Big Dome.
Geronimo said her birthday wish is to be mature further as an artist and as a person.
"At saka lahat, 'yung faith ko sa Diyos sa plans niya sa personal life ko, sa career, sa love life," she added.
In terms of her love life, she said she is just lifting everything to God.
"Pinagpi-pray ko po 'yung God's will. Hindi po 'yung gusto ko kung hindi 'yung will niya," says Geronimo, who's now romantically linked to Gerald Anderson.
Life with Gerald
Contrary to reports that she ended her special relationship with Anderson, Geronimo said she and Anderson are still trying to build a strong foundation.
"Wala naman pong bagong update, ganoon pa din naman. Lagi kong sinasabi na ito ang bagay na hindi minamadali at saka kailangang mapatunayan namin sa sarili namin, 'yung feelings namin for each other ay mapagtibay ng panahon," she explained.
"Kasi ang hirap, ang daming hiwalayan ganyan so ang sakit kapag ganoon. Kasi kapag na-inlove ka di mo mapipigilan kaya kailangang huwag madaliin, magisip-isip," she added.
Geronimo said Anderson still visits her at home.
"Minsan po nakakadalaw sa bahay minsan. Okay naman po, bumibisita minsan nandoon siya," she said.
Geronimo added that she's just happy with the inspiration that Anderson is giving her.
"Basta ako sa ngayon masaya po ako kung ano ang mayroon kami, 'yung inspirasyon na nabibigay niya sa akin, 'yung friendship namin. Kung di man ito mauwi sa isang relationship, ang importante ay ma-maintain 'yung friendship namin, 'yung nasimulan namin," she said.
